Product Description

Overview

The KUPO GTM-515B Matte Gaffa Tape is the black tape you reach for when shine would be a problem. It keeps the familiar 48 mm x 15 yd gaffa tape format, but uses a matte top finish to reduce glare around camera frames, light spill, fixtures, props, and reflective edges.

Why It Matters

Regular tape can catch a hot light or show up as a shiny patch on camera. A matte black finish helps hide quick fixes and edge control work more naturally, especially in photography, film, broadcast, theatre, and display environments.

Key Features

  • Black matte cloth backing for reduced glare
  • 48 mm width and 15 yd roll length
  • Natural rubber adhesive for reliable temporary hold
  • Non-transferring removal with no residue
  • Heat resistance rated at 80 °C / 180 min
  • Tensile strength rated at 12.5 KGF / 25 mm
  • Suitable for smooth, rough, and irregular surfaces

Applications

  • Reducing reflections on camera-facing fixes and prop edges
  • Taping around hot-light fixtures, set pieces, and lens-adjacent areas
  • Temporary holding, masking, bundling, and blacking out small visual distractions

Compatibility

The GTM-515B works on suitable smooth, rough, and irregular production surfaces. Test first on delicate, painted, antique, or high-value finishes before longer applications.

Yes. It follows the production gaffa tape format and is suitable for quick hand-tear use on set.

Does it remove cleanly?
