Product Description

Overview

The KUPO KAMT-28 Adhesive Heat Shrink Tube is made for cable joints that need more than a neat sleeve. Its adhesive-lined polyolefin construction melts and flows as the tube shrinks, filling gaps around the cable and helping seal the termination against moisture, dirt, and corrosion.

Why It Matters

This 28 mm size gives technicians room to pass over larger joints, connector entries, and irregular shapes before recovering down to 6 mm. For touring cables, bulkhead transitions, and repair work, that sealed finish helps the joint look intentional and stay protected in the field.

Key Features

  • Supplied diameter of 28 mm, recovering to 6 mm
  • 3:1 shrink ratio for covering irregular shapes and larger entries
  • Recovered wall thickness of 2.5 mm
  • Adhesive-lined interior seals against moisture, dirt, and corrosion
  • Minimum shrink temperature of 80 °C

Applications

KAMT-28 is suitable for solder splices, cable joints, bulkhead transitions, 19-pin connector cable entries, and other production cable repairs where insulation, strain relief support, and a sealed finish are needed.

Compatibility

Use KAMT-28 where the supplied 28 mm diameter can pass over the work area and the recovered 6 mm diameter will grip the final cable or joint size appropriately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes KAMT-28 different from plain heat shrink?

It has an adhesive lining that melts during heating, helping the tube seal around the cable joint instead of only shrinking over it.

What length is supplied?

The specification lists a standard length of 1.2 m per piece.

How do I choose this 28 mm size?

Choose it when the tube must fit over the joint at 28 mm supplied size and still recover tightly enough around the final 6 mm target area.
