The cap covers the disconnected interface and stays with the cable through a 297.5 mm lanyard assembly. It stands out clearly inside dark trunks and cable racks, while the connector-specific fit supports NEMA 3R protection when correctly seated.

Why It Matters

A 400 A feeder connector is often moved across trucks, cable ramps, outdoor staging areas and distribution points before it is mated. Keeping the female interface covered reduces direct exposure to rain, dust and handling debris.
