Product Description

Overview

The KPC-029 Pipe Clamp Adjustable Short Tee is a bolt-on malleable iron fitting for 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe. It branches a perpendicular pipe with on-site angle adjustment for non-square layouts, using stainless steel hex screws to lock the pipe without welding so frames, rails, and structures can be assembled or reconfigured on site.

Why It Matters

Real sites are not always square, especially in temporary builds and existing spaces. The adjustable short tee gives the branch point some forgiveness while keeping the clamp system bolt-on.

Key Features

  • Adjustable tee geometry lets the branch pipe handle non-square layouts during on-site assembly.
  • Malleable iron casting per ASTM A197 gives the fitting a durable body for tubular structures.
  • ASTM A153 hot dip galvanized treatment plus zinc plating supports corrosion resistance in real installation environments.
  • Stainless steel hex screws lock the pipe firmly with no welding required.

Applications

Useful for angled bracing, uneven site conditions, custom display frames, modified rail layouts, scenic structures, and pipe systems where a fixed tee would force the wrong angle.

Compatibility

Fits 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe; related sister fittings cover the alternate KUPO pipe clamp diameter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fitting need welding?

No. It locks onto the pipe with stainless steel hex screws, which keeps the structure serviceable and easier to revise.

When would I need the adjustable version?

Choose it when the branch pipe cannot sit at a fixed square angle, or when the final angle has to be set on site.

What pipe size does this version fit?

This version fits 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe, commonly used as 1-1/4" nominal Schedule 40 pipe.
