Product Description

Overview

The KPC-049 Pipe Clamp Sleeve Joint is a bolt-on malleable iron fitting for 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe. It butts two pipes end to end inside a sleeve to extend a straight pipe run without offset, using stainless steel hex screws to lock the pipe without welding so frame, rail, and display structures can be assembled and revised on site.

Why It Matters

Sometimes the best joint is the one that does not change the line. The sleeve joint keeps two pipe ends aligned inside a single fitting, useful when a long straight run has to continue cleanly.

Key Features

  • Sleeve body aligns two pipe ends in a straight butt joint without offsetting the run.
  • Malleable iron casting per ASTM A197 provides a durable body for tubular structures.
  • ASTM A153 hot dip galvanized treatment plus zinc plating supports corrosion resistance for demanding environments.
  • Stainless steel hex screws lock the pipe firmly without welding, helping crews build and rework faster.

Applications

A good fit for extending display rails, long guardrail sections, scenic pipe runs, retail structures, straight frame members, and serviceable pipe spans that may need future adjustment.

Compatibility

Fits 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe; related sister fittings cover the alternate KUPO pipe clamp diameter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fitting require welding?

No. It locks the pipe with stainless steel hex screws, so the structure remains bolt-on and easier to reconfigure.

Does this create a branch or just extend the pipe?

It is for extending a straight pipe run. Two pipe ends butt together inside the sleeve, with no branch added.

What pipe size does this version fit?

This version fits 42.4 mm OD, 1-1/4" Sch. 40 pipe, commonly used as 1-1/4" nominal Schedule 40 pipe.
