Product Description

Overview

The KPC-138 Pipe Clamp Gate Eye is a 100-series bolt-on fitting for 48.3 mm OD, 1-1/2" Sch. 40 pipe. It provides the eye half of a gate hinge pair for swinging pipe gates and barriers, using stainless steel hex screws to lock the pipe without welding so smaller-format rail, display, and frame structures can be assembled and reconfigured on site.

Why It Matters

A gate hinge point should be obvious and serviceable. This gate eye keeps the receiving half of the hinge in the same 48.3 mm outside diameter pipe clamp system.

Key Features

  • Gate eye fitting forms the receiving eye half of a hinge pair for pipe gates and barriers.
  • Malleable iron casting per ASTM A197 provides a durable body for modular tubular structures.
  • ASTM A153 hot dip galvanized treatment plus zinc plating supports corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
  • Stainless steel hex screws lock the pipe without welding, helping crews assemble and revise frames cleanly.

Applications

Used for swinging access gates, temporary barriers, railing openings, backstage lanes, service entries, and 48.3 mm outside diameter pipe-built gates.

Compatibility

Fits 48.3 mm OD, 1-1/2" Sch. 40 pipe; related sister fittings cover the alternate KUPO pipe clamp diameter.
