Product Description
Overview
The KPC-173 Single Swivel Combination is a cast-iron pipe clamp fitting for 48.3 mm OD, 1-1/2" Sch. 40 pipe. It joins two pipes with a single-axis articulated joint for adjustable bracing, using internal hex screws to lock the pipe without welding so structural pipework can be assembled, adjusted, and serviced on site.
Why It Matters
One adjustable joint is often enough for a ramped rail or diagonal brace. This connector lets the second pipe rotate around the host pipe before tightening.
Key Features
- Single-axis swivel action gives one adjustable pipe branch for braces, stays, and ramped rails.
- ASTM A197 cast iron body supports demanding modular pipe structures.
- Double-layer hot-dip galvanization helps protect the fitting in indoor and outdoor service.
- Internal hex screws secure the pipe without welding, keeping the assembly relocatable.
Applications
Use for diagonal bracing, ramped handrails, asymmetric frames, display structures, temporary supports, and pipe runs that need one controlled adjustable joint.
Compatibility
Fits 48.3 mm OD, 1-1/2" Sch. 40 pipe; related sister fittings cover the alternate KUPO pipe clamp diameter.
