Product Description

Overview

The KS-215 Stirrup Head is a stand-alone hanger head for lighting fixtures fitted with their own clamp or coupler. Built from 5 mm gauge aluminum alloy and welded to a 50 mm diameter tube, it provides a 40 mm stirrup head with a 100 kg Working Load Limit (WLL) for fixture mounting where a pin-style receiver is not the right interface.

Why It Matters

Some fixtures need to clamp onto a stirrup rather than sit on a baby pin or junior receiver. This head provides that clean handoff point for telescopic hangers and drop-pole setups.

Key Features

  • 100 kg Working Load Limit (WLL) covers a wide range of lightweight and mid-weight fixture applications.
  • 40 mm stirrup head gives clamp-equipped fixtures a direct mounting surface.
  • 12.5 mm mounting hole accepts a telescopic hanger or drop pole.
  • 5 mm gauge welded aluminum alloy construction balances strength with manageable weight.

Applications

Use for theatrical fixtures, broadcast studios, architectural installations, telescopic hanger replacements, and lighting fixtures whose own clamp mounts directly to a stirrup-style head.

Compatibility

Designed for fixtures with clamps or couplers that mount to a 40 mm stirrup head; the bracket includes a 12.5 mm mounting hole for compatible hangers or drop poles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this for fixtures with their own clamp?

Yes. It is for fixtures that clamp onto a stirrup-style head rather than mount onto a pin or receiver.

Can it be used as a replacement head?

Yes, when the hanger or drop pole accepts the 12.5 mm mounting hole and the load stays within rating.

What is the difference between the silver and black versions?

The hardware function is the same; the black version is chosen when the head should be less visible in the rig.
