Product Description

Overview

The KUPO RSR-71901 is a 10 mm diameter, 1 mm steel wire rope sling rated for 1000 kg working load capacity. It uses grade 1960 galvanised 6 x 19 wire rope, EN 13411-1 thimbles at each eye, and EN 13411-3 Type C ferrules with inspection holes for visual confirmation of swage depth.

Why It Matters

Steel wire rope slings are chosen when a soft polyester sling is not the right answer, especially around abrasion, sharp edges, or long-duration installs. RSR-71901 gives riggers a slim 1 mm steel sling with galvanised corrosion resistance and a ferrule-secured eye that is less variable than hand splicing.

Key Features

  • 10 mm diameter and 1 mm length suit compact high-strength rigging connections.
  • 1000 kg Working Load Capacity (WL °C) supports primary or secondary suspension tasks within the approved rigging plan.
  • EN 13411-1 thimbles and EN 13411-3 Type C ferrules form controlled eye terminations.
  • Ferrule inspection hole allows visual confirmation that the rope was inserted to the correct swage depth.

Additional Technical Notes

  • Construction: Galvanised steel wire rope, grade 1960, 6 x 19 rope class
  • Eye Termination: EN 13411-1 thimble, EN 13411-3 Type C cylindrical conical ferrule

Applications

Use for primary or secondary suspension points, semi-permanent installs, abrasive contact areas, truss-edge work, and rigging applications where steel wire rope is specified instead of synthetic sling.

Compatibility

Use only with compatible rigging hardware, edge protection where required, rated load limits, inspection procedures, and the approved rigging plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

When would I choose steel wire rope instead of a polyester stage sling

Choose steel wire rope when the rigging plan calls for better abrasion resistance, sharper-edge tolerance, long-duration exposure, or a slimmer high-capacity component.

What is the inspection hole for

The ferrule inspection hole lets the user visually check that the wire rope was inserted to the correct depth before swaging.

Is this the same rating as the 14 mm RSR series

No. This 10 mm x 1 mm model is listed at 1000 kg working load capacity. The 14 mm RSR-720 series is a separate higher-capacity family.
