Overview
The KUPO YS-2.5/S Single Phase Y-Splitter is a theatrical stage lighting twofer built to connect two lighting instruments to one dimming channel without forcing multiple conductors into one connector. Its molded construction uses a PVC injection-molding inner core for tensile strength and a rubber outer cover for impact absorbency.
Why It Matters
In series wiring, current is the same through each instrument while voltage divides across the instruments, so this version should be chosen deliberately. The transparent heat-shrink sleeve over the Parallel / Series sticker keeps the wiring identification visible, which matters because parallel and series twofers behave very differently on a dimmer circuit.
